Edit 2

These are the final 5 photographs I chose for the editing assignment 2
This dog hated my camera. He started barking at the shutter sound. That's why his ears are back.

Me editor suggested that I straighten and crop out some blue that was in the top right corner. I think that really helped.

A few weeks ago there was a 'Supermoon' which is when the moon is at its closest point to Earth. It was seriously huge and lit up the whole sky. Perfect oppurtunity for picture taking! I really like the silhouette of the tree on the right.

I needed to edit this picture a lot because I did not have a tripod with me and I was balancing my camera on rocks and random things, however it came out pretty clear and I just needed to straighten it.

Get Closer

Every time I visit an art museum, I am most intrigued by the frames of the paintings. The museum is really the only place you can view the frames because they are not included in the online database.
The frames contain lots of extravagant detail but do not overpower the masterpiece it holds. The frames happen to be works of art themselves and are usually overlooked.

This is a macro shot of the Marble statue of the Three Graces.  Since it is such an old sculpture, there was a bit of discoloring, which I find to be kind of pretty. I also tried to include all of the Three Graces.

This is a close up of sculpted hair. To me it looks like waves or smoke.
I thought this looked like a nose

This pendant is a bust of Iris. It was in a glass case so I could not really get a good look at it until I took this picture. I really like the red background.

Narrative Photography

The painting I decided to recreate was Philip Geiger's 7:30 AM. Geiger is one of my favorite painters and I feel like we share similar artistic styles.

For this assignment I was thinking about Cindy Sherman's Film Stills. I did not really want to be the subject of my images, however no one else wanted to be in my photographs either.
